How many days in Riomaggiore

Two nights are enough to “see” the village. Four days are enough to walk without hurrying. A week is the stay that makes a self-catering apartment worth it.

The minimum: 2 nights

Our minimum stay is 2 nights. In 48 hours you see the village, the harbour, a sunset and maybe a short trail. You do not “do Cinque Terre”. If the train is late and check-in is at 14:00, the first afternoon is gone. Two nights are a taste, not a holiday.

Four days: the length that makes sense

One day for the village and the sea, one for a trail, one by train to Vernazza or Monterosso, one slow day (shopping, rest, a second cove). That is the pace a kitchen apartment can hold. You do not change hotels, you do not repack, you do not lose the morning to check-out.

If you fly into Pisa or Genoa, subtract half a day each way. Four clear nights is the honest count.

A week

Seven nights if you want the sea more than once, a rain day that does not ruin the trip, and the villages without a cruise-ship rush. You cook, shop once in La Spezia, use the reserved parking if you booked it. This is the stay Mythos and Helios are for: homes, not rooms.

In high season book ahead. Maximum stay is 29 nights. Requests can be sent up to a year in advance.

One base, not a hotel per village

Hopping Riomaggiore–Manarola–Vernazza with a new bed each night is tiring and expensive. Regional trains link everything. Sleep here, move by day, come home to cook. If you are set on “sleeping in every village”, that is not our product: look elsewhere.

When to come

• April–June and September: trails and light, shorter station queues.
• July–August: sea and crowds. Book parking and the apartment together.
• Winter: many places closed, wet trails, lower rates. Say so in the request: we confirm if those dates still make sense.
