Many Cinque Terre hotels refuse dogs. Our apartments take them if you tell us first: two self-contained homes, a kitchen, and reserved parking if you need it.

Yes, pets are welcome

Mythos and Helios take dogs and other animals if you mention them in the stay request. It is not an extra to discover at reception: say it first, with the dates and parking if you need it. If you arrive with an undeclared animal we cannot guarantee check-in.

The apartments are self-contained, with a kitchen. The dog stays in the home with you, not in a hotel “pet room”. That is your responsibility: no barking left alone, not on the bed as if the house were yours, not on the terrace unsupervised.

House rules

The stay rules apply: no smoking, including the parking area. The security deposit stays as stated in the confirmation. If the dog ruins a sofa or a cushion, the damage is charged. Bring bowls, blankets and bags: we do not supply them.

In Liguria, dogs on beaches and some trails follow changing rules. The coves and the narrowest paths in high season are not a dog park. Keep the lead on in the village: the steps are tight and full of people with suitcases.

Trains, trails, sea

On Cinque Terre regional trains a small dog often travels in a carrier; larger dogs follow Trenitalia’s current rules (lead, muzzle, extra ticket). Check the carrier’s site before you travel: the rules change.

Trails between villages are steps and stone. An older dog, or one used only to grass, will struggle. The walk toward Manarola and long July hikes in the sun are not for every animal. Go out early and late, with water.

If you drive, the reserved space at €25 a day means you are not leaving the dog in the car at Rio Park while you hunt for a bay. Never leave an animal in a car in the sun, not even “for five minutes”.

How to request

In the form, give size or breed, and whether the dog is used to staying in a house. We confirm the apartment and parking if needed. The 10% direct discount applies as for other stays. Minimum 2 nights.
